Singapore Oceanarium is one of Sentosa's major marine attractions, bringing visitors through immersive habitats, interactive exhibits and marine-life encounters. Formerly known as S.E.A. Aquarium, the attraction reopened as Singapore Oceanarium in 2025 after a major expansion, with 22 zones covering the ocean's past, present and future.

Located at Resorts World Sentosa, the Oceanarium is designed as more than a traditional aquarium. Visitors can explore marine habitats, learn about ocean conservation, see marine-life feeding sessions, join educational programs and, for selected experiences, even dive alongside marine animals.

Singapore Oceanarium Zones

Singapore Oceanarium has 22 zones organized into six broad themes: In the Beginning, At the Surface, Sunlight, Into the Deep, The Abyss, and A New Horizon. The journey moves from the origins of ocean life through different marine habitats before looking toward the future of the oceans.

Does Singapore Oceanarium Have Dolphins?

Yes. Singapore Oceanarium currently offers Dolphin Moments experiences, including Dolphin Immersion and Dolphin Exploration, and its Insider Experience includes a rare dolphin encounter. These are separate immersive programs rather than simply part of the general aquarium walkthrough.

Availability, schedules and participation requirements can vary, so check the current program information before visiting if dolphins are a priority.

Singapore Oceanarium Opening Hours

Singapore Oceanarium generally opens from 10:00am to 8:00pm, although operating hours vary on certain dates and early closures may apply. Time-entry ticketing can also be used during peak periods, so visitors should check the schedule for their chosen date before visiting.

The current official schedule should be checked before departure because operating hours, special events and temporary closures can change.

Singapore Oceanarium Tickets

Current general admission is:

S$55

S$43

These are the current published admission prices on the Singapore Oceanarium website. Children aged four and above require a ticket.

Tickets can be purchased online or on the day of the visit, subject to availability. During peak periods, time-entry ticketing may apply, so arriving within the selected time slot is important.

If you have booked a separate scheduled program, the program's meeting time takes priority. The Oceanarium advises participants to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.

Singapore Oceanarium Resident Ticket

Singapore Resident admission pricing is no longer a separate ticket category from 1 January 2026. The current system uses a single admission rate for visitors, so travelers should check the official ticket page rather than relying on older information about resident rates.

  1. Walk across to VivoCity.
  2. Go to Level 3 and take the Sentosa Express.
  3. Alight at Resorts World Station.
  4. Follow the signs toward Singapore Oceanarium.

How Long to Spend at Singapore Oceanarium?

Tourists and Visitors Immersed in Wonder as They Discover the Enchanting Marine Life at the Singapore Oceanarium

Allow at least three hours for a comfortable visit. Visitors who enjoy reading the displays, trying interactive activities, taking photos or attending scheduled programs may want to stay longer.

If you are planning a full Sentosa day, allow additional time for meals, shopping and other attractions rather than treating the Oceanarium as a short one-hour stop.

Guided Tours and Special Experiences

Singapore Oceanarium offers several programs for visitors who want to go beyond the standard admission route. Options include expert-led behind-the-scenes experiences, animal-focused programs, diving activities and educational sessions.

Singapore Oceanarium Insider Experience

The Insider Experience is a 3.5-hour guided program that provides behind-the-scenes access, expert-led tours and a rare dolphin encounter. The current program is available in English and Mandarin and requires participants to be at least four years old.

Animal Spotlight Programs

Animal Spotlight experiences provide a closer look at specific species. Current programs include Sea Jellies and Seahorses, with behind-the-scenes access and opportunities to observe feeding or animal-care activities.

Daily Marine-Life Sessions

The daily schedule can include presentations and feeding sessions. For example, Open Ocean Discovery Presentation sessions introduce animals such as giant groupers, manta rays and scalloped hammerheads, while dive-feeding sessions allow visitors to watch divers feed marine animals. Check the daily schedule before your visit because timings can change.

Scuba Diving Programme

Singapore Oceanarium offers several diving programs, including a PADI Discover Scuba Diving Programme for visitors who are new to scuba diving. The 120-minute experience includes instruction with certified PADI instructors followed by a dive of up to 12 metres in the Open Ocean habitat.

The current program is for participants aged 10 and above, with morning and afternoon sessions available from Tuesday to Sunday. A full set of scuba equipment and expert guidance are provided.

Experienced divers can also consider other programs, including Open Ocean Dive and Shark Dive. Requirements, schedules and prices vary by program.

Singapore Oceanarium Glamping Experience

Singapore Oceanarium's Ocean Dreams is an overnight glamping experience set beside the Open Ocean habitat. The experience combines after-hours access, guided tours, marine-life encounters, meals and an overnight stay in a glamping tent.

The 2026 Ocean Dreams event was scheduled for selected dates in May and June, so glamping should be treated as a seasonal experience rather than a standard overnight facility. Future dates and availability should be checked with Singapore Oceanarium before planning a trip around it.

Singapore Oceanarium Research & Learning Centre

The Research & Learning Centre supports Singapore Oceanarium's work in research, conservation and education. Its activities include species breeding programs, behavioral research, collaborations with external organizations and educational initiatives.

The center also incorporates sustainability into its design. It is a Green Mark Platinum Zero Energy building using solar power and energy-conscious design to reduce environmental impact.

For visitors, the center adds another dimension to the Oceanarium: the attraction is not only about displaying marine animals but also about understanding, researching and protecting ocean ecosystems.

Singapore Oceanarium Food

Visitors can find several food and beverage options within the Oceanarium, including Explorer's Nook, Tide Deli and Ocean Bites. Explorer's Nook offers pastries, sandwiches, salads and savory dishes, while Tide Deli specializes in light bites and artisan gelato.

Outside food and drinks are generally not permitted inside the Oceanarium, with exceptions such as baby food, formula and food required for special dietary needs.

The current operating schedule lists the Oceanarium's food and beverage outlets generally operating from 10:00am to 8:00pm, although visitors should check the latest schedule for their date.

The Singapore Oceanarium Store

The Singapore Oceanarium Store is located at the exit and can be accessed without an Oceanarium admission ticket. It sells marine-inspired apparel, educational books, sustainable products and other souvenirs.

Tidal Trove is another retail stop within the Oceanarium, offering toys, books and other items focused on discovery and learning.

This makes the store useful even for family members or companions who are not entering the Oceanarium itself.

Visitor Tips for Singapore Oceanarium

Give Yourself Around Three Hours

The Oceanarium is substantially larger than the former S.E.A. Aquarium, so rushing through the exhibits can mean missing some of the interactive and educational elements. Around three hours is a useful starting point.

Check the Daily Schedule Before Walking In

Feeding sessions, presentations and animal programs run at specific times. Check the schedule first and plan your route around the sessions you want to see.

Don't Skip the Jellyfish Zone

Ocean Wonders is one of the more visually striking areas, with thousands of Moon Jellies and other species. It is also one of the better places to spend extra time if photography is part of your visit.

Try the Singapore Coast Discovery Pool

The interactive pool lets visitors experience cleaner shrimp gently removing dead skin from their hands. It is a particularly fun stop for families with children.

Spend Time at Open Ocean

The Open Ocean habitat is one of the main highlights, with manta rays, groupers, sharks and other marine life. Instead of simply walking past the viewing panel, find a spot and watch the animals for a few minutes.

Download the Singapore Oceanarium App

The app provides digital tickets, interactive marine-life content, augmented-reality and 3D features, as well as information about programs and promotions.

Check Your Admission Time

Time-entry ticketing can apply during peak periods. If your ticket has a selected entry time, arrive within that window rather than assuming you can enter at any time.

Plan Around Re-Entry

Same-day re-entry is available, provided you obtain the required handstamp and retain your admission ticket. This can be useful if you want to take a break for food before returning to the Oceanarium.

Don't Bring Large Bags Unless Necessary

There are no lockers inside the Oceanarium, so plan ahead if you are carrying shopping bags or other bulky belongings.

Book Special Experiences Separately

Guided programs, diving and other immersive experiences have their own schedules and requirements. If one is a priority, check availability and book it before planning the rest of your visit.

Is Singapore Oceanarium Worth a Visit?

Yes, particularly for families, marine-life enthusiasts and visitors who want more than a conventional aquarium experience. The expanded attraction combines 22 themed zones with interactive exhibits, scheduled programs, conservation-focused learning and special experiences such as diving and behind-the-scenes tours.

It is also a good option when the weather is less suitable for outdoor Sentosa activities, as much of the experience takes place inside. For visitors with only limited time in Singapore, however, the three-hour-plus visit means it is best planned as a substantial part of a Sentosa itinerary rather than a quick stop.

What Should Visitors Consider on Singapore Oceanarium Reviews

Reviews can vary depending on what visitors expect from the attraction. Families may value the interactive exhibits and marine-life programs, while photography enthusiasts may spend more time at the jellyfish displays and Open Ocean habitat.

The attraction is also significantly different from the former S.E.A. Aquarium, so older reviews may not accurately reflect the current experience. When comparing Singapore Oceanarium reviews, check the date of the review and whether it was written after the 2025 transformation.

Singapore Oceanarium Photos

The Oceanarium offers plenty of photography opportunities, particularly around the jellyfish displays, large habitat viewing panels and immersive environments. Ocean Wonders is especially suited to atmospheric photographs, while Open Ocean provides opportunities to capture larger marine animals such as manta rays and sharks.

For better photographs, take your time at the larger viewing habitats instead of photographing only while walking through. Follow the attraction's current photography rules and avoid disturbing other visitors.
